Mark and Anne Rimell have been training together with a professional licence since 2004. Their first runner as a married couple in June 2004 was a winner, followed by many more successful runners during that season.
The following season 05/06 continued the winning streak with the yard having a strike rate of 36% winners to runners, with Oneway and Crossbow Creek being the main stars winning 8 races between them and both were placed at the Cheltenham and Liverpool Festivals.
The following season 06/07 saw the introduction of a lot more horses, doubling the yard's numbers to approximately 28. Unfortunately the new horses brought in a virus, which decimated the yard's previous form.
It has taken the best part of two years, but the yard's good form has gradually returned. The new season, 08/09, has started with a bang from 4 winners from 6 runners, a strike rate of 67%, plus a winner on the flat. The yard is back on form and confidence is high for the coming season.
